Derek Baldwin of Victoria passed away peacefully at Carbonear General Hospital on May 11, 2026, at the age of 68 years, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Grandchildren: Maddison, Colby (Tamara), Devin, and Rachel

Brothers: Bert (Linda), Lloyd, Melvin (Tina), Wade (Wanda)

Sisters: Jane (Stan), Mary (Ron - deceased)

Mother-in-law: Evelyn King

Brothers-in-law: Bruce (Dorothy), Jamie, and Richard (Daphne)

Sisters-in-law: Aggie (Kevin), Sharon (Alasdair), Joanne (Troy), Debbie, Mildred, and Laverne

Leaving to mourn many family and friends who were a very special part of his life.

Derek enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a loving husband, an amazing Dad, father-in-law, and a very proud grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Special thanks to the staff on 6th floor at Carbonear General Hospital who took such good care of him in his final days.

To honor Derek’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
