Obituary of James 'Jim' Sheppard

Passed away surrounded by his loving wife and children at home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, James (Jim) Sheppard of Harbour Grace South, in his 78th year.

Predeceased by parents: Llewelyn and Stella Sheppard; infant brother: George; brother: Brian; sister and brother-in-law: Nellie and Stewart Yetman; sister-in-law: Violet Sheppard; parents-in-law: William and Violet Skanes.

Leaving to mourn wife: Judy; daughter: Cathy (Nat); son: James (Peggy); precious granddaughters: Ivanie, Reagan, and Julie; sisters: Helen, Linda Mae (Harold), and Winnie; brothers: William and Paul (Wendy); brother-in-law: William (Nolajean); sister-in-law: Eva; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family would like to thank the healthcare professionals and palliative care team for their support and compassion. Your kindness will always be remembered.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Saturday, June 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Funeral service to take place on Sunday, June 7, 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace South. Interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
