Obituary of Joseph Forward

Passed away surrounded by the love of his family in Ajax, ON on Sunday, June 21, 2026 Joseph Forward of Harbour Grace, at the age of 88 years.

Predeceased by his parents: Josiah and Bridget (White) Forward; stepfather: Gregory Penney; loving son: Joey Forward; siblings: Angela, David, Sheila, and Don; parents-in-law: Arthur and Florence (Mercer) O’Neill; brothers-in-law: Arthur O’Neill Jr., Allan Greene, and Doug Pettipas; special niece: Stephanie Bavis.

Beloved husband for 63 years of Shirley (O’Neill); loving father of Linda (Dominic), Claudine (Atef), and Jennifer (Gavin); cherished poppy of Alexander (Angela), Nicole (Edward), Vivienne, and Brayden; lovingly remembered by his chosen granddaughter: Brie; special poppy Forward to his great-grandchildren: Maeve, Callum, Orla, and Rowan.

Survived by his siblings: Frances (Ken), Greg (Rita), and Ted (Mary); his in-laws: Denis (Frances), Pat, Marg (John), Geraldine (Dalibor), Sharon (Paddy), Brian (Ann), Elsie, Ralph, Patricia.

Along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, August 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral service with Mass to take place on Tuesday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.

Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
