Obituary of Tom Bernhard Muller

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tom Muller, who was born in Calgary, AB, on June 24, 1965. Tom passed away at his home in Ochre Pit Cove, NL, on July 7, 2026, at the age of 61.

Predeceased by father, Bernhard Muller and Pop Green.

Leaving to mourn, loving wife: Barbara; mother: Waltraud Muller; son: Tyler (Jen); daughter: Alisha (Jarod); parents-in-law: Sam and Florence Green; sister-in-law: Lisa; brother-in-law: Sam (Cindy); cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Also, his special little fur baby Teddy Bear, and his palsy walsy Carly.

Tom Muller, a skilled mechanic, and a man whose strength, determination, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Tom and Barb met in Alberta in 2004 and soon after made their first family trip to NL in 2005 to visit family. Tom immediately fell in love with this beautiful province which prompted the idea to move to Newfoundland permanently, a dream that came true on July 7th, 2007.

Tom was a mechanic by trade and took great pride in his work. He was also a proud graduate of an OHS course, an accomplishment that reflected his commitment to learning and doing things the right way. Whether he was repairing an engine or tackling a project with his hands, Tom found purpose in creating, fixing, and helping.

Tom had a passion for old cars and could often be found under the hood of a classic vehicle, bringing it back to life with the skill and patience (and lots of cursing) that only someone who truly loved the craft could possess.

Above all else, Tom was a proud and loving husband and father of 22 years. His family was the center of his life, and the love he had for them was unwavering. He cherished time spent with those he loved and found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by family, especially going fishing with his father-in-law or traveling to Florida to get a good tan.

Those who knew Tom knew he could be headstrong and stubborn, but they also knew those
qualities came from his fierce determination and deep sense of loyalty. He was the fiercest
defender of the people he loved and had a heart far bigger than he ever let on. He stood by his family and friends through every challenge offering strength, protection, and unwavering support.

Tom’s legacy is one of hard work, resilience, love and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the lessons he taught, the lives he touched, and the love he leaves behind.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Volunteer Fire Department, Western Bay, NL.
