Obituary of Florence "Rose" Clarke

Passed suddenly away at Harbour Grace on July 8, 2026, Rose Clarke of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 84 years.

Predeceased by husband: Cecil George Clarke; parents: Samuel and Esther Sommers; sister: Pauline; brothers: Steve, Fred, and George; nephews: Scott Lynch and Jamie Sommers.

Leaving to mourn, daughter: Joann Mercer (Kerry Snow); sons: Kenneth (Barb) Mercer, Wally (Joanne) Mercer, Philip (Lynette) Mercer, and Toby (Tracy) Mercer; sisters: Dorothy (John - dec.) Lynch and Marilyn Sommers; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Renelle Butt, the paramedics, and Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Department for their prompt care and perseverance at the time of Rose’s passing. Thank you for all you did.

Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, July 13 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral service to take place on Tuesday July 14, at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace.

Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear.
