Obituary of Gerald Evely

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Monday, July 13, 2026, Gerald Evely of Freshwater, age 67 years.

Predeceased by parents: Damon and Rosalie; grandbabies: Zana Christine Kelly and Zakery James Michael Evely; sister: Yvonne Marshall; father-in-law: James 'Jim' Clarke.

Leaving to mourn, loving and devoted wife of 47 years: Bonnie whom he cherished and adored; daughter: Melissa (Rick); son: Michael (Kelly) who loved him to the ends of the earth. They will forever be his everything; grandchildren: Monica (Jesse), Mallory, Bridget, and Zola; brother: Raymond (Gail); sisters: Donna (George-deceased), and Cindy (Tim); mother-in-law: Cynthia Clarke;  brothers-in-law: Carson (Annie) and Steven (Judy); sisters-in-law: Donna (Austin), Della (Scott), and Cindy (George); also a large number of neices, nephews, cousins, former coworkers of Local 47, other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff of the ICU department at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's for their constant care and compassion towards Gerald. His family will be forever grateful.

To honor Gerald's wishes there will be a private family visitation and funeral service.
