Obituary of Doris Russell

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Doris Russell of Carbonear, age 83 years.

Predeceased by parents: Leonard and Elizabeth Oates; Uncle Graham and Aunt Mildred Oates; sister-in-law: Nancy Oates.

Leaving to mourn, husband: James of 64 years; daughter: Elizabeth Chenard; sons: Bradley (Kelly) and Terrance; special daughter/granddaughter: Erin (Kaitlyn); grandchildren: Anthony (Alicia), Andrew (Vanessa) and Cameron; great-grandchildren: Calah, Liam, Ava and Mya; brother: Martin (Jean); sister: Mildred (Peter) Maxwell; brother-in-law: David (Carol) Russell; sister-in-law: Grace (Jim) Bourne; special nephew: Ronald Russell; special cousins: Ann Wallace, Ada Sawyer and her Niagara family; also a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiatation to take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, August 20 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Funeral service to take place at Bethany United Church, Carbonear on Friday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Interment to take place at Park Avenue Cemetery, Carbonear.
