Obituary of Alma L. Garland

GARLAND, Alma L. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Thursday, November 4, 2010, Alma L. Garland of Lower Island Cove, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Frank H.; sister: Doris; brothers: Robert, Philip and Frederick. Leaving to mourn, son: David (Susan), Paradise; three grandchildren: Stacey, Jolene (Desmond) and Kelly (Philip); four great-grandchildren: Cody, Jesse, Brooklyn and Brady; sisters-in-law: Alma Morris and Ruth Garland, both of Montreal; the White family of Norman's Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove with visitation hours by request of the family on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove.
