OSMOND, Arthur R. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, Arthur R. Osmond of Carbonear, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents Capt. Josephus 'Cephas' and Sarah 'Liz' Osmond; brother: George; sister: Marie Chubbs; brothers-in-law: Stewart Forward, Maxwell Penney and Robert Chubbs; sisters-in-law: Annie and Irene. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elizabeth; nine daughters: Dale (Hayward) Green, Carbonear, Barbara, Toronto, Brenda, Tammy (Larry) Hushard, ON, Tanya (Greg) Slade, Victoria, Charlene (Bill) Emberley, Carbonear, Lori (Bobby) Butt, St. John's, Melissa (Herbie) Parsons, Harbour Grace and Amanda, Carbonear; two sons: Tony (Edna), Coley's Point and Arthur, Carbonear; thirty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Cecil (Sadie) and Robert (Doreen), both of Carbonear; three sisters: Leona Forward, Carbonear, Helen Penney, Victoria and Margaret (Wycliffe) Baker, Carbonear; special friends: John and Margaret 'Marg' Poole, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Arthur Osmond Memorial Fund. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
