Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2016, Yvonne Moores of Harbour Grace, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband: Horatio, son: Gerald, parents: James and Gwendolyn Mahaney. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Barbara; two sons: James and Steve (Paula), all of Harbour Grace; four grandchildren: Laurie Walsh (Glenn), Joe Lewis (Jeff), Zoe Moores (Leeland) and Zack Moores; two great-grandsons: Dylan and Drake; one brother: Ivan Mahaney, St. John's; special friend: Joy; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At Yvonne’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Inurnment to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA, P.O. Box 273, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B7.
