Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, Zela 'Hope' Whitman of Harbour Grace, age 87 years. Predeceased by her parents, Lothrop and Belle Whitman; sisters, Dorothy Cron, Ruth Isabel Whitman, Dora Gertrude Adams, Jean Wigner, and Mary Whitman; brothers, Theodore and Lothrop. Leaving to mourn a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At Hope’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service to be held on Monday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. from Coughlan United Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Coughlan United Church, P.O. Box 209, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
