Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear Long-Term Care Facility on Friday, November 18, 2016, Ivy E. (Stone) Vallis of Carbonear, age 103 years. Predeceased by first husband: Frederick Stone; second husband: Reginald A; brothers: William and Alfred; sister: Una Yarn; son-in-law: David Saunders. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Margaret Stone LeBlanc, Eastport and Holly (Norman) Sheppard, Corner Brook; one son: Frederick (Elaine) Stone, Harbour Grace; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Danielle, Lori (Troy), Stephanie (Colin), Michael, Heather (Cory), and Leeland; six great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Logan, Alexander, Zachary, Emma, and Sally; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, November 21at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, PO Box 915, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C4.
