Passed away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Thursday, February 2, 2017, Jerry Furey of Harbour Grace, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: Frank and Sadie, brother-in-law: Gord Sullivan, sister-in-law: Irene Furey, and nephew: JJ Sullivan. Leaving to mourn, brother: Jim (Mae), St. John’s; sister: Helen (Laurence) Pike, Harbour Grace; nieces: Janine (Chris) White and Joanne (Harry) Cooper; nephew: Michael Sullivan; great-nieces: Kathleen, Jane and Ella; great-nephew: James; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Saturday, 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 299, Harbour Grace, NL, A0A 2M0.
