Obituary of Reuben Buckle

It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Reuben Buckle of Carbonear, age 90, at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Predeceased by, parents: Isaac and Emily; brothers: George (Clarice) and Eugene; infant brothers: Clifford and William; sister: Annie (Gus) Chubbs; great-granddaughter: Angel; great-aunts: Louise Marshall and Alice Butt. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; three daughters: Carol (Frank) Merrigan, Carbonear, Judy (Tony) McCarthy, Harbour Grace, and Wendy (Robert) Coulas, Carbonear; four sons: Tony (Sylvia), Winterton, Ron (Janet), Carbonear, Reuben (Shirley), St. John’s, and Gregory, Carbonear; ten grandchildren: Lisa (Rodney), Liam (Cheryl), Anthony (April), Amanda, Andrew (Janine), Alanna (Hayward), Kendell (Richard), Jessica (Joel), Natasha (Justin), and Michael; four great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Isaac, Kylie, and Myla; sisters-in-law: Cecilia Button, Old Perlican and Peggy Buckle, Labrador City; nieces and nephews; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the St. James Anglican Church Building Fund, P.O.
