Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 6, 2017, Arthur Bonnell Pilgrim of Carbonear, age 86 years. Predeceased by son: Bryan; parents: Harold and Bessie; sister: Nina (Cliff) Nelson; brother: Edward (Myrtle). Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 66 years: Alma; son: Garfield (Marion); grandsons: Corey (Jennifer) and Geoffrey (Laurie); very special great-grandson: Hudson; sisters: Doreen (Norman) Parsons, Marie (Ken) Tiley, Dorothy (Frank, deceased) Clarke, Frances Pilgrim (Janet), and Kaye (James, deceased) O'Flaherty; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear North. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Band, P.O. Box 137, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B6.
