Obituary of Travas Oates

Passed away after a long hard battle with mental illness at his residence on Saturday, March 11, Travas Oates of Carbonear, age 41 years. Predeceased by twin brother: Trent; grandparents: Tom and Molly Oates, Ralph and Mildred Pike. Leaving to mourn, parents: Bill and Clara, Carbonear; two brothers: Trevor and Todd (Charlene), both of Harbour Grace; niece: Ashley; nephew: James; also a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. A private family inurnment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Travas Oates Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Homes, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
