Obituary of Shirley Parsons

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 13, 2018, Shirley Parsons of Ochre Pit Cove, age 83 years. Predeceased by husband: Wm. James 'Jim'; infant son; two infant granddaughters: son-in-law: Randy Rose; parents: Llewellyn and Elizabeth Pritchard; sisters: Grace, Sarah, and Mary; brother: Leo. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Donna Rose and Elizabeth (Paul Fahey), both of Ochre Pit Cove; three sons: Don (Bernice), Bristol’s Hope, Eric, Iqaluit, and Chris (Marcela), Ontario; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Daisy Higdon, Dunville; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, due to stormy weather, will resume 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove.  In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Baccalieu Trail S.P.C.A., P.O.
