Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Dorothy Wicks of Burnt Point, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Hayward; parents: Charles and Clarenda Blundon. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Judy (Bruce) Soper, Carbonear; son: Gary (Margaret), Burnt Point; two grandchildren: Amanda and Joel (Stacey); great-grandson: Jake; two sisters: Sarah (Ellis - deceased) Oliver and Ada Beryl (John - deceased) Robbins; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special thank you to the staff of 4 South at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion for your care and compassion toward Dorothy during her time with you. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, October 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Baccalieu Trail S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 273, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B7.
