SWAIN, Dorothy Alice- Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Thursday, October 29, 2009, Dorothy A. Swain of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased husband William Edmund; sister: Rella; brother: Clyde; niece: Inez Moores; nephews: Graham Butt and Allan Budden. Leaving to mourn, nieces: Daphne Colbourne, Carbonear, Dola Callan, Long Cove and Cheryl (Byron) Briggs, St. John's; brother-in-law: Bertram (Verna) Swain, Carbonear; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 pm from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Carbonear or TCP Health Foundation.
