SWAIN, Harriet - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Sunday, April 18, 2010, Harriet Swain of Carbonear, age 76 years. Predeceased by husband: Frederick. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Wendy (Craig) Penney, Carbonear; son: Glenn (Karen and her daughter, Courtney), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Sheldon, Trevor, Corey and Jason; two brothers: Herbert Budden, Carbonear and Orville Budden, formerly of Victoria; three sisters: Elizabeth 'Betty' Kelloway and Virtue Kelloway, both of Carbonear and Louise King, Perry's Cove; brothers-in-law: Rev. Hector (Edna) Swain, Mount Pearl, Lloyd (Glenys) Swain and Thomas (Jean) Swain, both of Carbonear; sister-in-law: Edna Trickett, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
