CLARKE, Gerald Sr.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2010, Gerald Clarke Sr. of Victoria, age 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Isaac and Mary Ann; mother and father-in-law: Leonard and Myrtle Snow; brothers: Leonard (Ollie), Hansen and Roland; sisters: Adeline (Solomon) Legrow, Gladys and Dora (Jacob) Newell; sisters-in-law: Annie and Jean Clarke; brother-in-law: Robert Hennessey. Leaving to mourn, wife: Lillian; two sons: Gerald S. Jr. (Renee), Victoria and K. Trent (Doreen), Greenwood, NS; one daughter: Tania (Christopher) Jacobs, Victoria; seven grandchildren: Christina, Melissa, Rebekah, Sarah, Christian, Colby and Daniel; three brothers: David, Desmond and Melvin (Viola), all of Victoria; sisters-in-law: Edna Boucher, NB, Darlene Hennessey and Evelyn (Bob) Hoskinson, both of Victoria; brothers-in-law: Thomas (Florence) Snow, Victoria, Leonard (Gertie) Snow, Wabush; best friend: Winston Bess, Victoria; also a large number of extended family and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, May 16 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Research Centre.
