ROSE, Elsie G. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, September 11, 2010, Elsie G. Rose of Western Bay, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband: George H., parents: Joseph and Winnie Rideout, brother: Joseph. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Joy Smith (Brad Marsh), Long Pond; two sons: Ralph (Ruth), Seal Cove and Darren (Lisa), Western Bay; three grandchildren: Sandra (Chris), Andrew and April; two great-grandchildren: Allan and Jadia; two brothers: George (Betty) Rideout and David (Nina) Rideout, both of Ontario; four sisters: Mildred Wright, Winnie Rideout, Margaret (Jerry) Gibbson and Jean Winter, all of Ontario; special friends: Hazel Sellars and Viola Pottle, both of Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, September 12. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Western Bay South. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund.
