GOLD, Evelyn P. (Parsons) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, Evelyn P. (Parsons) Gold of Ochre Pit Cove, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: Norton Gold; daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Richard Gadreau; parents: Richard and Emma Parsons; brother: Junior. Leaving to mourn, one son: Robin (Kristen) Seer, Vancouver, BC; two brothers: Joseph (Mildred) Parsons, Buchans and Ralph (Mary) Parsons, Ochre Pit Cove; nieces and nephews: Brenda (Roger), Rick (Arlene), Chris (Anna), Tracy (Barry), Gordon (Nora), Marilyn (Terry) and Douglas (Bridget); also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, October 7 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday, October 8 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, October 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Ochre Pit Cove United Cemetery Fund.
