Obituary of Reginald Coombs

COOMBS, Reginald J. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, Reginald J. Coombs of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 81 years. Past Grand Knight of Dalton Council 1448, Harbour Grace, 1st elected Faithful Navigator of Dalton Assembly, 4th Degree 1645. Predeceased by daughter: Mildred; sister: Mary and brothers: Richard and Leo. Leaving to mourn: wife: Dorothy; one daughter: Ann Coombs (Gerard Quinlan), Harbour Grace; five sons: Reginald Jr. (Beth), Goose Bay, Donald (Glenda), Harbour Grace, PJ and David, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace and John (Denise), Mount Pearl; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Brittany, Paige, Courtney, Aaron, Zachary, Megan and Lauren; two sisters: Alice Stamp and Bessie Shanahan, both of St. John's; one brother: Jack, Toronto, ON; brother-in-law: John Russell, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; also nieces and nephews as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE and from where the funeral will take place on Friday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the TCP Health Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
