PURCELL, Ellen M. - Passed peacefully away at her residence on Monday, November 17, 2003, Ellen M. Purcell of Harbour Grace, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: Edward J.; son: Donald; great-grandsons: Cory and Tyler; son-in-law: Philip Delaney; brothers: Arthur and Daniel; sister: Theresa. Leaving to mourn: six daughters: Madeline (Leonard) Bray and Isabelle Delaney, both of Harbour Grace, Mona (John) Healey, Mount Pearl, Ethel (Brian) Hunt, Grand Cache, AB, Christine (Martin) McCarthy, Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Carol (Nelson) Newman, Bell Island; two sons: Joseph (Patsy), Labrador City and Brian (Maxine), Brampton, ON; daughter-in-law: Mary, Mount Pearl; twenty-one grandchildren: Pam, Sharon, Lynn, Leonard Jr., Kimberley, Lauren, Danielle, Rachel, Brianna, Jason, Melanie, Tracey, Tina, Gregory, Joseph Jr., Dana, Terri-Lee, Jennifer, Leanne, Melissa and Kelly; fourteen great-grandchildren: Sandra, Trevor, Heather, Courtney, Lorne, Tyler, Mitchell, Nicholas, Conner, Brianna, Cassandra, Aaron, Ryan and Riley; two brothers: Dermit (Maime) Tobin, Goose Bay and Ben (Theresa) Tobin, Gaskiers, St. Mary's Bay; three sisters: Isabelle Williams, Mercedes Tobin and Mona (Doug) Fleming, all of Gaskiers, St. Mary's Bay; brother-in-law: Ernest (Alice) Purcell, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace and from where the funeral will take place on Thursday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Flowers gratefully accepted; or as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
