PENNEY, Clara B. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 24, 2004, Clara B. Penney of Carbonear, age 81 years. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 65 years James H.; 2 daughters: Shirley (Gordon) Williams, Harbour Grace and Emma "Penney' (June) Evely, Victoria; two sons: James H. Jr. (Marge), Carbonear and Selby (Diann), Paradise; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Emma Forward and Bessie (Clyde) Evely, both of Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Muriel 'Moo' Parsons, Winnie Parsons and Jean Penney, all of Carbonear and Gertie (Bill) Clarke, Gander; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Tuesday, January 27. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Bethany united Church, Carbonear.
