Obituary of Stanley Noftle

NOFTLE, Stanley C. - Passed suddenly away at his residence on Tuesday, February 24, 2004, Stanley C. Noftle of Broad Cove, age 70 years. Predeceased by wife: Eileen; parents: Fred and Alice; brother: Ralph. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Tammy Noftle (Nelson Attwood), Oshawa, ON, Thea (Dion) Elliott, Whitby, ON; three sons: Robert (Dianne), Whitby, ON, Oral (Leona Gilbert) and Darrell (Christine Mills), both of Buchans; three grandchildren: Mark, Lauren and Krista; three brothers: Heber (Alexis), Carbonear, Guy (Pat), London, ON and Ivor (Olive), Broad Cove; four sisters: Sylvia Moores, Carbonear, Beatrice Noftle, London, ON, Pearl Baker, Whitbourne and Doris Flight, St. John's; special friend and companion: Joyce Whalen, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay, with visitation hours by request of the family, on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m. Then resting at the United Church, Buchans on Friday, Feb. 27 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Community Cemetery, Buchans. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church, Buchans.
