ROSE, John 'Jack' Sr. - Passed away suddenly but peacefully at his residence on Monday, May 14, 2012, John 'Jack' Rose Sr. of Harbour Grace, age 77 years. Predeceased by wife: Edith; parents: Michael and Bertha; brothers: Allan, Tom and Joe; sisters: Mary 'Mollie' McCarthy; Frances White and Kathleen Shea. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Margaret (John) Merrigan, Harbour Grace and Brenda (Herman) Miller, Mississauga, ON; five sons: Jack (Christine), David (Bernice), Tom (Bridget), Bill (Donna) and Philip, all of Harbour Grace; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa (Dan) Neil, Harbour Grace and Mildred (Don) Hunt, Shearstown; very special friend: Winnie White, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the NL Diabetes Association.
