Obituary of Stephen Emberley

EMBERLEY, Stephen H. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 20, 2004, Stephen H. Emberley of Bay de Verde, age 84 years. Predeceased by wife: Mahalla, 1992; brothers: Joseph, Frank and Phillip; sisters: Sarah Jane and Stella. Leaving to mourn special friend: May Hart, New Perlican; four daughters: Sadie Newhook (Bill Keats), Norman's Cove, Beulah (Clarence) Blundon, Mississauga, ON, Maxine (Lloyd) Smith, Aurora, ON and Rev. Glennis (Ernest) Smith, Nova Scotia; two sons: William (Daphne), Nova Scotia and Eldon (Marg), Upper Gullies; fourteen grandchildren: Penny, Vanessa, Andrea, Denise, Erica, Jillane, Lynée, Robin, Stephen, David, Shane, Evan, Deon and Dale; eight great-grandchildren: Hanna, Mackenzie, Zackary, Cameron, Victoria Grace, Kaitlyn, Austin and Darcy; one brother: Paul (Lydia), Bay de Verde; one sister: Annie Goodwin, St. John's; sister-in-law: Evelyn Emberley, Western Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde and from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday, May 23 at 2:30 p.m. Interment in St Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Bay de Verde. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
