Sheppard, Alfred E. - Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, Alfred E. Sheppard of Gander, formerly of Harbour Grace age 79 years. Predeceased by son: Bruce; parents: John and Frances; brothers: Walter, George and Arthur; sisters: Evelyn, Myrtis, Florence and Ethel; mother and father-in-law: Winnie and Frank Pike. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary of 54 years; one daughter: Mary Elizabeth (Neil) Shea, Glenwood; one son: Lindsay (Maureen), St. Thomas, ON; four grandchildren: Danielle and Sara Shea, Shannon and Shayla Sheppard; one sister: Jane Sheppard, Montreal, PQ; sisters-in-law: Rowena (Nevelle) Haynes, Lloydminster, AB and Helen Pike, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander until 12:00 noon Saturday, August 28. Then resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace, with visitation hours by request of the family, on Saturday, August 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit Funda c/o the TCP Health Foundation.
