CLARKE, Alvin G. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, Alvin G. Clarke of Bristol's Hope, age 65 years. Predeceased by wife: Vina, 2000, father: Walter, brother: Jack and father-in-law: Clarence Bickford. Leaving to mourn: one son: Duane (Angela), Mount Pearl; two daughters: Denise (Wade) Jenkins, Dartmouth, NS and Deanne (Sean) McLennon, Corner Brook; seven grandchildren: Mitchell, Morgan, Luke, Nicole, Sarah, Amanda and Michael; mother: Ethel Clarke, Victoria; two brothers: Lloyd (Viona) and William (Janie), both of Victoria; one sister: Annie (Eric) Winsor, Bay Roberts; mother-in-law: Alice Bickford, Bell Island; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR after 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 9 and until 12:00 noon Saturday, September 11. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association, TCP Health Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
