RIXON, Arthur - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Thursday, November 18, 2004, Arthur Rixon of Lower Island Cove, age 84 years. Predeceased by brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn wife: Marion E.; one daughter: Beatrix (Jean) Belleau, PEI; four sons: John (Sophie), Robert's Arm, Notre Dame Bay, Robert (Olive), Pouch Cove, David (Susan) and Daniel (Karen), both of Port aux Basques; fourteen grandchildren: Peter, Stephen, Terry, Niki, Colleen, Mark, Karen, Nancy, Kim, Danny, Sara, Herbert, Danielle and Christopher; seven great-grandchildren; one sister: Florence 'Floss' Wheeler, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove and from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
