PARSONS, S. Andrew - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, January 17, 2005, S. Andrew Parsons of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 94 years. Past Master of L.O.L #62, Freshwater. Former active member of various church boards and Men's Fellowship Club, Freshwater. Best known for his participation in the cod fishery, Conception Bay. Predeceased by parents: Walter and Sarah; sisters: Dora, Dorothy, Madeline, Florence and Mary. Leaving to mourn, wife: Elizabeth G.; two daughters: Addy (Robert) Stewart, Bradford, New Hampshire, USA and Dorothy (Embry) Hudson, Adams Cove; three sons: Clarence (Myrtle), Freshwater, Carbonear, S. Woodrow (Marjorie), New Market, ON and Clayton (Ethelwynne), Freshwater, Carbonear; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Edward Pelley, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Thursday, January 20. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery, Freshwater.
