Obituary of Rowena Crocker

CROCKER, Rowena Daphnie (nee Smith) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Saturday, February 12, 2005, Rowena Daphnie Crocker (nee Smith) of Harbour Grace, age 80 years. Predeceased by her loving husband: Wesley A. Crocker (1990); son-in-law: William J. Mercer (1996); brother: Edward 'Ned' Smith; sisters: Doris Barrett and Katie Crane. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, two daughters: Violet Mercer, Clarenville and Donna Taylor, Harbour Grace; one son: Alex (Joan) Crocker, Harbour Grace; six grandchildren: Daniel Mercer (Dawn), Clarenville, David Mercer (Kellie), Gander, Mitchell Taylor (Dawn), Ottawa, Melanie Smith (Wayne), Harbour Grace, Jerry Crocker, Harbour Grace and Corey Crocker (Amanda), St. John's; seven great-grandchildren: Ian, Ryan and Kaely Mercer, Clarenville; Matthew, Brendan and Keeran Mercer, Gander and Megan Smith, Harbour Grace; one brother: Rhodie (Frances) Smith, Spaniard's Bay; one sister: Lydia Bray, Harbour Grace; a number of nieces and nephews; her devoted caregivers: Phyllis Forward and Lori Conway; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace until 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 15. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church Restoration Fund.
