BUTT, Miriam P. 'Minnie'- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 21, 2005, Miriam P. 'Minnie' Butt of Carbonear, age 79 years. Predeceased by son: Harold; daughter: Karen; sons-in-law: Maurice Curran and John Carpenter; sister: Janet Tuck. Leaving to mourn, husband: John A.; five daughters: Marion (Donald) Sheppard, Spaniard's Bay, Annie Curran, Shirley (Cyril) Griffin and Myrtle Carpenter, all of Carbonear and Gail Spracklin, Shearstown; five sons: John (Ann Reardon), St. John's, Graham (Shirley), Leslie (Diane) and Gary (Carol), all of Carbonear and Cyril (Sherri), Chamberlains and twenty-five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister: Marion Clarke, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 23. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted.
