POWELL, Mary- Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Monday, May 16, 2005, Mary Powell of Victoria, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband: Thomas; brothers: Lewis, James and Hubert; sisters: Rella, Elizabeth and Ada. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Dorothy (Paul) Barnes, St. John's and Mary Powell, Ontario; one son: George (Gloria), Salmon Cove; three grandchildren: Nicholas, Sheri Lynn (Paul) and Thomas; two step-grandchildren: Jason and Adam; one brother: Jonathan Simms, Carbonear; two sisters: Marjorie Johnson, Ontario and Ruby (James) Bourne, Mount Pearl; sisters-in-law: Joyce, Carbonear and Ruby, Victoria; brother-in-law: Cyril, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Thursday, May 19. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
