HEDGES, Viola M.- Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, August 4, 2005, Viola M. Hedges of Carbonear, age 84 years. Predeceased by parents: Herbert and Minnie; sisters: Lavinia Pike and Winnie Downing and brothers: Eldred and William. Leaving to mourn sister-in-law: Elizabeth Hedges, Carbonear; special niece: Margaret Rose (Guy) Penney, CBS and their daughter: Elizabeth (Jeff) Churchill, Topsail; niece: Glenda (Eric) Colbourne, Carbonear; nephews: David (Donna) Downing, Victoria, Bert (Lydia) Downing and Cyril Downing, both of Harbour Grace; special friends: Mary Brien, Carbonear and Sonia and Ross Churchill, Portugal Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR with visitation hours by request of the family on Saturday, August 6 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
