PAYNE, Helen- Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Thursday, August 11, 2005, Helen Payne of Harbour Grace, age 84 years. Predeceased by loving husband Stephen; brothers: Hedley and George; sisters: Lillian, Laura, Rita and Eugenie; niece: Pauline. Leaving to mourn their sad loss with fond and loving memories, her children Grace (Al) Christie, Pickering, ON, Donna (Robert) Downey, Gander, Stephen (Virginia), Toronto, ON and Kathy (Terry) Andrews, Gander; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister: Grace, Massachusetts, USA; brother: Herbert Vallance, Massachusetts, USA; nephew: Roy (Frances) Saunders, Carbonear; a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13 and until 12:00 noon Monday, August 15. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace.
