Obituary of Ivy Slade

SLADE, Ivy D.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, Ivy D. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 91 years. Predeceased by parents: Phillip and Lydia Osmond, brothers: Bert and Sterling; sister: Rita. Leaving to mourn husband: Myles; one daughter: Beverley (David) Bradbury, St. John's; four sons: Joseph, Salmon Cove, Everett (Maureen), Toronto, ON, Bert (Helen), Ajax, ON and Harrison, Sarnia, ON; eight grandchildren: Gail, Joseph Jr. (Cindy), Andrew (Rumi), Kyra, Cherie (Daniel), Colleen (Kenzie), Christopher (Patricia) and Marie; seven great-grandchildren: John Jr., Sabrina, Spencer, Cameron, Gillian, Jonathan and Erica; two brothers: Jerry (Oscar) Osmond, Huntsville, ON and John (Bertha) Osmond, Alison, ON; sisters-in-law: Susie (Harrison) Noseworthy, St. John's, Louise Slade, Clarke's Beach and Mildred Osmond, Lethbridge; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 26 and until 12:00 noon Friday, October 28. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove or to a charity of one's choice.
