BURKE, Samuel- Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2005, Samuel Burke of Victoria, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert J. and Martha; sisters: Linda and Mae; sister-in-law: Rose; brother-in-law: Jack. Leaving to mourn, wife: Frances; three daughters: Beverley (Ron) McDonald and Diane (Larry) Baldwin, both of Victoria and Debbie (Elvis) Hiscock, Freshwater, Carbonear; two sons: Wayne (Glenda) and Sheldon, both of Victoria; eleven grandchildren: Matthew, Holly, April (Adam), Jennifer, Bradley, Adam, Heidi, Alison (Sheldon), Ashley, Melanie (Danny) and Lee (Stephanie); two great-grandchildren: MacKenzie and Dakota; five brothers: Don (Annie), Bishop's Falls, Gord (Betty) and Bob (Linda), both of Gander; Albert (Frances) and Art (May), both of Victoria; two sisters: Gertie Holden, Mount Pearl and Lorna (Mike) Butt, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Ran (Marg), Reg, Ron (Judy), Harold and Ben; sisters-in-law: Marg (Alec), Alma (Abe), Shirley (Dick), Dorothy (Jim), Dianne (Angelo), Barb (Robert) and Judy; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Thursday, December 29. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church Renovation Fund, Victoria.
