CLARKE, Doris (nee White) - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, Doris Clarke (nee White) of Victoria, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband: George E., 1987, daughter: Alice, 1988 and sons-in-law: Rex Russell and Lloyd Russell. Leaving to mourn five daughters: Phyllis (Ambrose) Cole, Buchans, Mary Russell, Aurora, Ontario, Eileen (Aubrey) Rose and Elsie (Alton) Turnbull, both of Victoria and Goldie Russell, Guelph, Ontario; one son: Harold (Linda), Victoria; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters; step-sister: Marion (Gilbert) Emberley, Carbonear; step-brothers: Calvin (Stella) White and Ezekiel White, both of Victoria and Arthur (Karen) White, Ontario; sister-in-law: Hazel White, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Friday, March 31. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Victoria. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
