ROSE, Janie- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, Janie Rose of Perry's Cove, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband: Ambrose; parents: Joseph and Catherine Swain; five brothers: Earl, Llewellyn, Melvin, John E. and Samuel J.; four sisters: Millicent Kelloway, Lilly Ann King, Julia a. Swain and Ethel I. Swain. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Judy and son-in-law: Claude Sheppard, Spaniard's Bay; two grandchildren, grandson: Blair Sheppard, Calgary, AB and granddaughter: Krista and her husband Murray Hawe, Paradise; sister-in-law: Edith Swain, Perry Cove; a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Thursday, April 6. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Perry's Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the United Church, Perry's Cove or to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
