MILLEY, Elijah Pickering- Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, Elijah Pickering Milley of Burnt Point, age 87 years. Predeceased by daughter: Dorothy Joan; son: Elijah Malcolm; brothers: Eli and Isaac. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ida Dorothy; one son: Eric (Linda), Lewisporte; two grandchildren: Courtenay and Amanda-Lynn; two brothers: Thomas (Susie) and Mervin (Margaret), both of Burnt Point; four sisters: Irene Milley, Jessie Tucker and Jane George, all of Burnt Point and Marion (Sam) Sharpe, Toronto, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Hazel Milley, St. John's and Audrey Milley, Toronto, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, April 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Then resting at Calvary United Church, Burnt Point on Friday, April 14 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Calvary United Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church, Burnt Point.
