Obituary of George L. Hiscock

HISCOCK, George L.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, George L. Hiscock of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 86 years. Predeceased by wife: Agnes; daughter: Dorothy; sons: Wilfred and Gilbert; grandson: Wally Turnbull; son-in-law: Frederick Turnbull; step-son: Douglas Reese; brothers: Wilfred and Richard; sisters: Mary 'Polly', Rhoda and Suzannah. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Mabel Turnbull, Freshwater, Carbonear, Marjorie (James) Penney, Carbonear and Rita (Karl) Slade, Salmon Cove; four sons: George (Donna), Freshwater, Carbonear, David (Regina), St. John's, Elvis (Debbie), Freshwater, Carbonear and Roger (Cheryl French), Carbonear; a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-daughter: Thelma (Cecil) Churchill, Toronto, ON; step-sons: Wilfred (Ruby) Reese, Spaniard's Bay and Frederick (Shirley) Reese, Whitehorse, YK; daughter-in-law: Beulah Hiscock, Grand Prairie, AB; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear and from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 2 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Freshwater, Carbonear.
