Obituary of Rebecca J. Slade

SLADE, Rebecca J.- Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, Rebecca J. Slade of Western Bay, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband: William J. and sister: Annie Hooper. Leaving to mourn one daughter: Iris Slade, Victoria, BC; two sons: Edwin, Vancouver, BC and Ivan, Western Bay; one grandchild: Allison; two brothers-in-law: George (Minnie) Slade, Carbonear and Jethro (Joan) Slade, Western Bay; one sister-in-law: Ruby Legge, Twillingate; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay until 12:00 noon Friday, November 10. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the McDowell United Cemetery, Western Bay North. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the North Shore Ambulance Fund.
