PENNEY, Oliver Clayton - Passed peacefully away at Tobin's Personal Care Home, Holyrood on Friday, December 8, 2006, Oliver Clayton Penney of Adams Cove, age 98 years. Predeceased by loving wife: Hazel, October 2003; infant daughter: Olive; parents: Noah and Roseanne Penney; daughter-in-law: Florrie; sisters: Beatrice Coish and Jenny Moores; brothers: Sam, Josiah, Jack and Clyde. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Judy (Richard) Shortt; three sons: Clayton (Mary Hodder), Oscar (Madeline) and Allister (Nellie); thirteen grandchildren: Janice, Marie, Debbie, Cindy, David, Craig, Karen, Todd, Gary, Charlotte, Brian, Vanette and Anthony; seventeen great-grandchildren: Ashley, Jeffrey, Emily, Matthew, Sophia, Sarah, Laura, Nichole, Jeanine, Ashley, Garry, Olivia, Olena, Felica Beth, Devon, Natalie and Erin; dear friends and neighbours: Warren (Jeannette) Hudson, Adams Cove; special nephews: Baxter (Marjorie) Penney, Western Bay and Clyde Coish, Ochre Pit Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY with visitation hours by request of the family on Saturday, December 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from where the funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Blackhead. No flowers by request; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Blackhead.
