My condolences to all the Penney family. Mr. Penney and Dad (William Pilgrim) were roommates at Victorian Manor and for a short period at the Interfaith Home and Carbonear Hospital, so I had many opportunities to chat with him and always enjoyed our conversations. He was a lovely man and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

I offer my sincere condolences to the Penney family. My mother Hilda Cole was Clara's cousin. I have fond memories of Jim and Clara during a visit to Carbonear in 1996 from our home here in Massachusetts. Jim showed me and my husband the sights, and knew someone everywhere we stopped. We will not forget his and Clara's kindness.
