Obituary of Elizabeth Evely

EVELY, Elizabeth- Passed peacefully away at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, January 21, 2007, Elizabeth Evely of Clarke's Beach, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: John; daughter: Ruby Keeping; grandson: Clarence; granddaughter: Kelly; sisters: Selena and Winnifred; brothers: George, Willis, Walter and Ambrose. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: May (Stephen) Coffey, Cupids, Daphne (George) Sulley, Clarenville, Verna (Sam) Arnold, Meaghers Grant, NS, Regina (Tolson) Ralph and Rhoda (Bill) Barteau, both of Clarke's Beach; four sons: Clyde (Elizabeth), Carbonear, Frank (Daphne), Clarke's Beach, John (Jean), Kelligrews and David (Phyllis), Clarenville; one sister: Rhoda (Sam) Mercer, Mount Pearl; twenty-nine grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Then resting at the United Church, Clarke's Beach on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the United Cemetery, Clarke's Beach. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
