CHUBBS, Robert J. 'Bob' - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, Robert J. 'Bob' Chubbs of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by: wife: Marie; parents: Robert and Mary Chubbs; sisters: Margaret Lee and Adelaide McDonald. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Heather (Keith) Sweetland, Carbonear; two sons: Nigel (Eileen Butt), Gander and Robert (Ann), Carbonear; five grandchildren: Wanda, Robert B., Ashley, Lucas and Andrew; three great-grandchildren: Jayden, Abigail and Alexis; two brothers: Gordon (Doreen) and Harold (Marina), both of St. John's; three sisters: Annie Reid, Hilda Belbin and Mary Martin, all of St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church or to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
