Obituary of Harry P. Burt

BURT, Harry P.- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, March 23, 2007, Harry P. Burt of Harbour Grace; formerly of Mount Pearl and Old Perlican, age 61 years. Predeceased by parents: A. John and Eliza; mother-in-law: Minnie Walker. Leaving to mourn wife of 39½ years, Alma (nee Walker); son: John (Cindy) and her children Nicholas and Meagan, Mount Pearl; daughter: Charmaine (John) Saunders, Paradise; poppy's treasures, grandchildren: Allan and Katie Saunders; brother: Albert (Florence) Burt, Old Perlican; sisters: Anne (Calvin) Miller and Gladys Burt, both of Mount Pearl and Lenora (Otto) Zahn, Halifax, NS; father-in-law: Robert Walker, Winterton; brothers-in-law: Gordon Walker, St. John's, Clayton Walker (Waunetta) and Robert Walker (Rose), both of Grand Prairie, AB; sisters-in-law: Sylvia (George) Button, Lead Cove, Sandra (Raymond) Legge, Whiteway and Elizabeth Hiscock, Montreal, PQ; also a large number of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and other relatives and friends. As per Harry's request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25 and until 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 27. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace. Inurnment to take place at the United Cemetery, Old Perlican. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
